Simen Klevstrand heads Haavind’s Competition and Trade practice group.
His experience within competition law includes representing clients before Norwegian courts, assistance during investigations by the Norwegian Competition Authority and the European Commission, merger filings in Norway and the EU, as well as advice on cooperation agreements, JVs, dominance issues and compliance work.
Simen has considerable experience in advising Norwegian and international companies on the competition law aspects of mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and various types of cooperation, including information exchange issues. He also assists businesses and public bodies in state aid law issues.
Within international trade, Simen’s experince includes sanctions and export control compliance, FDI screening issues and international trade agreements, including the EEA Agreement and the UK trade agreement.
