Gaute is part of the Technology, Media and IPR practice group. He specialises in competition law and state aid.
He has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, and in providing advice in relation to agreements and different forms of cooperations, as well as issues concerning abuse of a dominant position.
He is experienced in proceedings before the competition authorities and in presenting competition cases before the national courts.

In addition to his extensive experience as a competition lawyer at Haavind, Gaute has experience in handling competition cases in the public administration. He has previously worked at the Norwegian Competition Authority and in the Competition Law Section of the Norwegian Ministry of Trade and Industry.
