Gisle Grønlie is Senior Counsel in Haavind’s department for Aquaculture, Offshore and Industry.

Gisle has extensive experience from having been legal director in various segments of the multinational oil service companies Technip, FMC and finally TechnipFMC, and in Magnora, one of Norway’s most prominent companies for the development of renewable energy. He has operational and strategic management experience from regional and global management groups and has sat on a number of internal boards. He has also been chairman of a listed renewable company.

He has extensive experience from contract negotiations and concluding agreements with a large number of oil companies in a number of jurisdictions, as well as with ongoing assistance for complex offshore projects in the operational and closing phase. He has extensive experience in contract management and in leading strategic and commercial negotiations with customers and subcontractors. Throughout his years in oil services, Gisle has worked across many jurisdictions and has extensive experience with complex contracts and cooperation constellations, alliance agreements and joint ventures. He has also been responsible for legal assistance to various corporate functions and has solid experience with restructuring, corporate law, employment law and internal investigations as part of an overall compliance responsibility.

Gisle, through his previous role as deputy chairman of the Legal Forum in the Federation of Norwegian Industries, has also been involved and engaged in various initiatives and projects to develop and improve the framework conditions for the Norwegian supplier industry.

Gisle has solid experience with renewable energy as legal director and has negotiated shareholder agreements and investment agreements within solar power, onshore and offshore wind.
