Haavind litigators have during 2014 been involved in approximately 200 lawsuits and spent over 750 days in court.
Last year Haavind had nearly 20 percent of all civil cases handled by the Norwegian Supreme Court. The cases litigated by Haavind during autumn 2014 includes among others: tax for the Norwegian tax authorities; tax case for the Norwegian Medical Association related to GP practice; and for the Norwegian Public Road Administration concerning contract settlement.
Haavind has litigated several of the largest cases that have been handled by Norwegian courts in 2014, says partner Rasmus Asbjørnsen.
The workload has been high throughout the year and there is a particularly strong increase in arbitrations, he adds.
The first months of 2015 have started very well with high activity within litigation. Asbjørnsen have already appeared once before the Supreme Court in 2015, and will appear again later this month.
