Michal Jorek specialises in resolution of domestic and international disputes.

He has extensive experience in complex and high-value litigation and arbitration. His arbitration experience includes matters under most of the leading institutional arbitration rules (including ICC, LCIA, SCC and SIAC) as well as ad hoc arbitrations. Michal has advised on and acted as counsel in arbitrations seated in both civil and common law jurisdictions and governed by a broad spectrum of substantive laws. He also has substantial experience in resolving disputes through mediation and bilateral negotiations.

Michal’s practice has focused primarily on disputes arising out of the energy, offshore, insurance, construction, financial services and shipping sectors as well as on post-M&A matters. His experience includes working in two of the world’s leading international dispute resolution practices in London and as in-house counsel in global energy and insurance companies.

Michal has also held academic posts at the University of Oxford and the University of Oslo. He is qualified as an English Solicitor.
