Arne primarily works with construction law, contract law and dispute resolution, and is part of one of Norway’s highest-ranked construction law teams.

He has broad experience in litigation and dispute resolution following several years as a deputy judge at the District Court, where he handled a wide range of civil and criminal cases. In addition, he has conducted several court-connected mediations in civil disputes.

Arne also has experience in advisory work and dispute resolution relating to the maritime industry, including international commercial contracts, maritime and transport law, insurance law and general tort law.

Arne has a particular interest in commercial contract law and issues relating to the law of obligations. He has been a research assistant at the Scandinavian Institute of Maritime Law at the University of Oslo, where he wrote a thesis on autonomous ships and strict liability that was later published in the journal MarIus.
