Team Haavind has acted for BlackRock in its second wind farm investment in Norway. BlackRock is acquiring a 100% interest in the construction-ready 197.4 megawatts Guleslettene wind farm.
We have advised BlackRock in all aspects of the deal, aside from the PPA, where we have worked with Orrick. The same team from Haavind also advised BlackRock when they did their first wind park investment in Norway, Tellenes. This farm is already operational, and is currently the largest operating wind park in Norway today.
Once constructed Guleslettene will be even larger. Construction costs are about €200m, which will come from BlackRock and through debt finance provided by DekaBank Deutsche Girozentrale.
For more information, please see the BlackRock press release.
Team Haavind on this deal has been Halvor Klingenberg and Hans Christian Donjem (debt finance/bank), Una Wærp, Mari Reitzel Bjerke and Jøran Sandvik (project docs and due diligence, and Jøran co-heading the deal) and Kjetil Hardeng (M&A/corp) helming the team.
“This again shows how team Haavind is placed right on top in mastering complex renewable and infra projects”, says Kjetil.
