We are strengthening our team with Ketil Sellæg Ramberg as a new partner in TMI.
Ketil Sellæg Ramberg works at the intersection of technology, intellectual property law and commercial contracts, often in transactions and strategic collaborations where technology and IP represent a significant part of the values.
Ketil joins from DLA Piper, where he was a partner for three and a half years. Before that, he was a partner at Sands for nearly 14 years. In addition to his law degree, he has written a master’s thesis in innovation management at NTNU, NHH and Cambridge University. He has been admitted to the Supreme Court since 2023, and has also acted as counsel in arbitration proceedings and before the EFTA Court.
A large part of Ketil’s practice concerns how technology and intellectual property rights can be developed, commercialised and protected through transactions, licensing, strategic collaborations or dispute resolution. He advises on matters where intellectual property and technology assets form a central part of the commercial picture, and where specialist legal expertise must be combined with strategic and commercial understanding.
Strengthening a key area
Managing partner Preben Brecke is very pleased with the new appointment.

Brecke points out that Haavind is seeing a clear increase in the need for advice at the intersection of technology and IP, transactions and dispute resolution.

The recruitment is in line with Haavind’s strategic focus on further developing strong professional environments within corporate and dispute resolution, while also strengthening the firm’s capacity for clients and projects in matters where technology, digitalisation, intellectual property rights and commercial agreements are central.
