Ulla-Britt Fräjdin-Hellqvist is Chair of the Year 2014
Ulla-Britt Fräjdin-Hellqvist was 15 January named Norway’s Chair of the Year 2014 for her role as chair of the board of Kongsberg Automotive ASA for the past five years.
Ulla-Britt Fräjdin-Hellqvist was 15 January named Norway’s Chair of the Year 2014 for her role as chair of the board of Kongsberg Automotive ASA for the past five years.
Many participants had found their way to Haavind in Oslo to take part in the prize ceremony. Haavind has been the main sponsor for this year’s award and partner Kjetil Hardeng was a member of the jury. Ulla-Britt Fräjdin-Hellqvist holds a graduate in Master of Science in Engineering Physics, has 35 years of experience in the automotive industry and 22 years of experience of board work in private, public and governmental corporations,foundations and non-profit organizations. According to the Jury of the Chair of the Year prize, the winner is an engaged and active chairperson with good business acumen, good contact with the market, strategic and creative.

The jury was chaired by Gunnar Eckbo from Chair of the Year. In addition to Kjetil Hardeng from Haavind the jury consisted of famous profiles from the media and business industry, Erik Thorsen, Siri Hatlen, Kristin Krohn Devold, Olav H Selvaag, Kathrine Aspaas and Anders Misund.
During the panel discussion, which dealt with differences between Norwegian and international board work, the audience got insight into how international boardrooms are perceived with Norwegian eyes, and how Norwegian boards are influenced by international trends and perspectives. The panel consisted of experienced chairmen and directors; Asbjorn Larsen, Mari Thjømøe, Diderik Schnitler and Svein S. Jacobsen. The debate was chaired by Birgitte Holthe from Bene Agere and Jon Christensen Oswald from Haavind.
Under the social part afterwards, four lucky winners received prizes from Jaguar and Dr.Holms hotel.
