Haavind is strengthening its Offshore & Industries team
We welcome four new and experienced colleagues to Haavind’s leading legal team within offshore and industries.
A lot of exciting things are happening in the onshore and offshore industries, especially in areas such as CCUS, offshore wind, hydrogen/ammonia, various types of e-fuels and electrification. With Haavind’s extensive experience from various development projects in both the process industry and the offshore and energy sectors, we are well equipped to meet the ever-increasing demand from both developers and suppliers involved in these growing markets. Therefore, we are very pleased to strengthen our team with cutting-edge expertise in the field of offshore and industry through the appointment of Lene Kristin Hennø, Stian Øyre Caspersen, Sofie Fogstad Vold and Noor Khan. This adds to the fact that we already have a broad and strong team, the recruitment of talented graduates who will soon be in place, and that Haavind’s renewables team has also been strengthened with a number of new hires recently. We will continue to look for and welcome aspiring candidates that will contribute to our ambitions to stay in front as the very best partner to our customers from the offshore, energy and process industry sectors.
Haavind’s Offshore & Industry team is growing
The recruitment of Lene, Stian, Sofie and Noor will strengthen our advisory services in key areas related to the green transition and energy transformation, including offshore wind, CCUS and hydrogen projects. “I am very pleased to have such talented lawyers with a high level of expertise in our focus areas on the team”, says Head of Aquaculture, Offshore and Industries Christopher Sveen.
Lene has a background from Schjødt, Wikborg Rein and DNB Bank ASA. She has assisted borrowers, lenders and other stakeholders, both domestically and abroad, with various forms of financing, including export financing, project financing, bond loans, and various forms of green financing, within shipping, offshore and energy. She also has broad insight into yard and shipbuilding contracts and charter parties.
Stian has experience from SLB OneSubsea and Aker Solutions since 2005, where he has held a number of roles within the subsea division (oil/gas), both as a lawyer and operational manager. Stian also has experience from Aker Solutions’ renewables business where he has worked with contracts, the industry frameworks and projects within various branches. He also holds a master degree in Industrial Economics and Technology Management from NTNU. In the future, Stian will divide his time between Haavind and the Faculty of Law at the University of Oslo, where he will write his PhD thesis and research topics for effective collaboration in complex development and construction projects. His expertise will further strengthen Haavind’s capabilities in various industrial development projects.
Sofie comes from the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Climate and Environment. She has worked with the framework for CCS in Norway and internationally, the EU’s climate framework and green transition of the maritime sector nationally and internationally. She also has broad insight into the transition of the energy sector, including through work with hydrogen initiatives in both Europe and Norway.
Noor has experience from Wikborg Rein’s offices in Oslo and London, where he worked for just over two years. During this period, he gained insight into the shipping, offshore and energy sectors. Noor has also been seconded to Skuld in London, where he gained valuable experience with offshore contracts and risk management.
In addition, we look forward to Kristian Stemre returning during the fall after a long secondment to Aker Solutions and with new experience from inter alia working on major CCUS development projects.
We look forward to continuing assisting the industry as such in its development, adaptation and understanding of the framework conditions, and the individual players with implementing investments and projects realizing the green transition and new important industries in a profitable and sustainable way.
