Pål Kvernaas is a partner in Haavind’s department for labor and employment law and corporate governance. Pål is a specialist in labor and employment law, and pension law issues. 

Pål assists boards of directors, management teams and HR departments in implementing strategies, and preparing and executing transactions, reorganisations and restructuring processes. Pål is also regularly working with designing and negotiating employment contracts, including incentive schemes and pension schemes for executives. Finally, Pål regularly assists employers in implementing changes in management teams, including selection processes and negotiation of separation agreements.  

Pål is recognised for being commercial and solution-oriented, in addition, to having solid legal expertise. He also has extensive experience with dispute resolution and litigation. 

Pål works to a considerable extent with international companies and has a broad international network. He is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA), and is an Officer in IBA’s HR Section.  

Pål is ranked in Band 1 in Chambers & Partners, ranked as Leading Individual in Who’s Who Legal and acknowledged in Legal 500.
