The projects are expected to produce close to 2.2 million tons of renewable hydrogen over ten years, which will help avoid emissions of around 15 million tons of CO2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In total, the award provides just under EUR 1 billion in support for the 15 projects. The three Norwegian projects have been awarded support under the special category for RFNBO production of hydrogen for use in the maritime sector, which had an earmarked pot of around EUR 200 million in this second auction round. In total, the three Norwegian projects will receive just under EUR 100 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The three Norwegian projects are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Norwegian Hydrogen has been awarded NOK 154.1 million (EUR 13.2 million) for its project at Rjukan, with EUR 0.45 in support per kg of hydrogen produced.<br><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> Gen2 Energy has been awarded NOK 719.1 million (EUR 61.6 million) for its project in Mosj\u00f8en, with EUR 0.59 in funding per kg of hydrogen produced.<br><br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> GreenH has been awarded NOK 255.7 million (EUR 21.9 million) for its project in Hammerfest, with EUR 1.88 in funding per kg of hydrogen produced.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The award is an important contribution to the realization of functioning value chains for the production, distribution and use of hydrogen in the maritime sector.
